Attending lectures has really helped me in many ways. There are many advantages of attending a lecture rather than just reading from notes or using listen again. Though some people prefer not to show up at any lecture , I strongly believe that a student understands more when he/she goes to a lecture where there is one on one teaching and always, room for asking questions. This has been clear to me as I have tried both studying alone, with attending a lecture and attending lectures, having the result that goin to lectures always puts a clear understanding to the mind that missing it or not going at all.
Note taking during lectures also helps because it allows for a student to have access and remember the lecture easily and fast. Some students like to take down notes simply because it aids their understanding.
Revision is something I really take  to be a very helpful thing and I try as much as possible to utilize my time to revise. It freshens up my memory and makes what I have read stick to my head.
